Turkey's inflation hits 9-year high

Baku. 3 April. REPORT.AZ/ Turkish Consumer Prices in annual comparison increased by 11.29% in March and reached a peak since October 2008. Report informs citing the Bloomberg, Turkish Statistical Institute said in a monthly report.

According to the report, increase in the prices of domestic production increased by 16.09% in March. Core inflation in annual comparison made 9.46% in March. highest rate of inflation - 27.9% was in tangerine, while the highest fall in price was in green onions.

Notably, Turkish Economy Minister Nihat Zeybekci who analyzes inflation indicators noted that since May inflation will be single digit while, changes in exchange rates will further have a negative impact on inflation.
