SOFAZ increases share of gold in its investment portfolio

During the first quarter of 2022, the share of bonds and other money market instruments in the investment portfolio of the State Oil Fund of Azerbaijan (SOFAZ) amounted to 61.9%, which is 2.1 percentage points less than in the first quarter of 2021, Report informs.
Instead, SOFAZ increased the share of stakes in the investment portfolio from 17% to 17.9%.
The share of gold in the fund's investments rose from 12.9% to 13.9%, while the share of real estate rose from 6.1% to 6.3%.
At present, SOFAZ has 101.8 tons of gold, which is the same amount as a year ago.
As of April 1, SOFAZ's assets amounted to almost $45.264 billion, 5.85% more than on April 1 last year.
