Nasirov says state program needed for development of Azerbaijan's border regions

The Milli Majlis (parliament) has proposed adopting a state program for the socio-economic development of Azerbaijan's border regions, MP Elman Nasirov said at a plenary session of the Milli Majlis on the 2026 budget package, Report informs.
According to the MP, some 63 villages in the Jalilabad district currently remain without gas supply. He noted that special attention should be paid to settlements bordering Iran.
Elman Nasirov proposed developing and approving a separate state program for the socio-economic development of these territories.
