Meeting of "Bank Standard" Creditors Committee starts

Baku. 27 July. REPORT.AZ/ The next meeting of the Creditors Committee of the "Bank Standard" CJST, that is in the process of liquidation, is being held today.

Report informs, the meeting is being conducted in the administrative building of Azerbaijan Deposit Insurance Fund (ADIF) located in Khatai district, Babak avenue, 16.

Chairman of the Committee, lawyer Akram Hasanov, approximately 40 creditors of "Bank Standard", as well as ADIF officials, attend the meeting. Secretary of the meeting, head of the Development Center of Khazar University, Raziya Isayeva could not participate in the event for a valid reason. Therefore, it was decided to temporarily replace her with Director of the Legal Department of "Gala Hayat Insurance" OJSC, one of the bank's creditors, Suleyman Zeynalli.

Afterwards, Akram Hasanov stressed that even though they were going to appeal to the head of state in regard to "Bank Standard", the decision was postponed: "We still do not have some information; we have to familiarize ourselves with some documents; there is a need to send more requests. Therefore, for now, we cannot apply to the head of state."

According to him, an appeal has been made to the Supreme Court, as the Creditors Committee is not satisfied with the liquidation plan of the Bank: "In case the Court satisfies our appeal, anyway, this plan will enter into force, but for now, it is not in force."
