Italy’s public debt hits record

Italy’s public debt in April reached EUR 2.373 trillion, up EUR 14.8 billion from the previous month, Report informs citing Russian media.

The growth was caused by increase in government costs.

According to Italian consumer protection charity Codacons, the country's public debt per capita now exceeds 39,000 euros.
