Four Azerbaijani banks allowed to transfer money via Mastercard cards

An agreement has been reached with four banks on transferring money abroad using the Mastercard international payment system card from Azerbaijan, said Avshar Gurdal, Mastercard's General Manager for Azerbaijan and Turkiye, who is on a visit to Baku, Report informs.

"We have already signed an agreement with one of those banks, Mugan Bank OJSC. Agreements will be signed with other banks soon," he said.

According to him, Card to Card transactions are used a lot in Azerbaijan:

"In this regard, there are both technical and other possibilities. We believe that the new agreements will facilitate international money transfers."
