EBRD updates its investment portfolio for Azerbaijan

The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) has so far invested 3.768 billion euros in 183 projects in Azerbaijan.

Report informs, citing the bank, that as of August 30 of this year, the number of projects financed by the EBRD in Azerbaijan doubled, and the investment portfolio increased by 113 million euros, compared to the indicators announced by the Bank.

The share of the private sector in the EBRD's investment portfolio for Azerbaijan is 13%.

Currently, EBRD has 31 active projects (1 unit less) in its portfolio for Azerbaijan. The portfolio for these projects was 884 million euros (40 million euros more), operational assets were 799 million euros (19 million euros more), and cumulative payments were 3.26 billion euros (85 million euros more).

Based on the revised portfolio, infrastructure projects were responsible for 90% or 793 million euros (45 million euros more) of infrastructure projects, industry, trade and business accounted for 7% or 60 million euros (5 million euros less), and financial institutions made 3% or 31 million euros (unchanged).

EBRD's investment in Azerbaijan made up 1% of the total portfolio.

Azerbaijan has been a member of the EBRD since 1992.
