EBRD updates investment portfolio for Azerbaijan

The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) has, to date, invested 3.61 billion euros in 188 projects in Azerbaijan, Report informs, citing the EBRD.
Although the number of projects financed by the EBRD in Azerbaijan did not change as of August, the investment portfolio has increased by 126 million euros.
The share of the private sector in the EBRD's investment portfolio for Azerbaijan remained unchanged at 12%.
Currently, EBRD is running 31 projects in Azerbaijan. The portfolio for these projects is 814 million euros (27 million euros more), operating assets total 734 million euros (49 million euros more), and cumulative payments are 3.145 billion euros (138 million euros more).
According to the revised portfolio, 88%, or 719 million euros (up 27 million euros), fell to the share of infrastructure projects, 8%, or 67 million euros (remained unchanged), to the share of industry, trade, and agribusiness, and 4%, or 29 million euros (1 million euros more), to the share of financial institutions.
EBRD's investments in Azerbaijan make up 1% of its total portfolio.
Azerbaijan has been a member of the EBRD since 1992.
