EBRD revises investment portfolio on Azerbaijan

The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) has invested €3,655 million in 181 projects in Azerbaijan so far, Report informs, citing the Bank.
Although the number of projects financed by the Bank in Azerbaijan did not change compared to the indicators announced by the EBRD on August 2 of this year, the investment portfolio increased by 52 million euros.
The share of the private sector in the EBRD’s investment portfolio is 11%.
Currently, the Bank has 32 active projects worth €844 million. Operating assets made up €780 million, cumulative disbursements - €3,175 million.
According to the revised portfolio, 89% or €748 million was invested in sustainable Infrastructure, 8% or €65 million in Industry, Commerce & Agribusiness, and 3% or €31 million in financial institutions.
The share of investments in Azerbaijan constituted 1% of EBRD’s total portfolio.
Azerbaijan joined the EBRD in 1992.
