Director: Azerbaijan’s CBA should create certain incentives for green financing

The Central Bank of Azerbaijan (CBA), as a regulatory body, should establish incentives for the financial sector to promote green financing, Shahin Mahmudzada, Executive Director of the CBA, said, Report informs.
Mahmudzada made the statement at the Green Finance conference in Baku, organized by the American Chamber of Commerce in Azerbaijan (AmCham Azerbaijan).
“We should align with the Green Agenda. Capacity-building training is essential for both our supervisors and market participants. Additionally, we need to monitor green finance products and undertake other related activities,” he stated.
