Compulsory car insurance market increased in Azerbaijan

Baku. 4 May. REPORT.AZ/ In April of this year 106,218 contracts was signed in Azerbaijan on compulsory insurance of civil liability of owners of vehicles.

Report informs referring to the Bureau of compulsory insurance, 14,310 have made the contract of vehicles registered abroad and imported to Azerbaijan for transit purposes.

During this period, the total amount of insurance premiums under mandatory insurance was 7.9 million manats.There has been growth in the number of contracts of compulsory insurance by 12%, and the amount of premiums - by 17% in comparison with the same period of last year.
