Baku. 22 May. REPORT.AZ/ The next meeting of the Board of the Chamber of Accounts of the Republic of Azerbaijan discussed the Opinion of the Chamber with regard to Law of the Republic of Azerbaijan ‘On the execution of the state budget of the Republic of Azerbaijan for 2016’ and annual report on the execution of the state budget.
Report was informed in the Chamber.
Opinion comprised of 5 section and information was given on the legal basis of the Opinion drafting, data base, macroeconomic environment featuring the state budget execution, also the revenue and expenditure analysis. In addition, the Opinion focused to reference to the Chamber’s reports related with the institutions on use of state funds, at the same time the distinctive features of the presented of Opinion structure and drafting compared to previous years.
Opinion reflected the sources of state revenue, the current state of state debt, broad analysis concerning the budget deficit and financing sources, thorough research in functional and economic classification, subsidiary sections and paragraphs of state budget expenses, recommendations and proposals on the result of the audits conducted by the Chamber.
The participants of the meeting expressed their ideas and proposals, the Board accepted the decision to recommend for discussion the annual report on draft law and state budget execution in Milli Majlis of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
The Opinion of the Chamber of Accounts to the annual report on draft Law of the Republic of Azerbaijan ‘On the execution of the state budget of the Republic of Azerbaijan for 2016’ and annual report on state budget execution is available from relevant section of website of the Chamber.
The meeting approved several audit programs considered in the Work Plan for 2017 and the auditors gave information on execution status of pronouncements of audit results at the Board meeting and relevant decisions were made.
In addition, the Chief of Consolidated budget section under the Review and Analysis Department Zaur Valiyev reported with regard his participation at the training Medium-Term Budgetary Frameworks, Fiscal Rules and Fiscal Councils: Options to Ensure Fiscal Sustainability held on 6-13 May 2017 in Vienna, Austria.
