Azerbaijani banks' net foreign assets increase while domestic assets decrease

As of October 1, 2024, the net foreign assets of Azerbaijani banks exceeded to 25.492 billion manats ($14.995 billion), Report informs, citing the Central Bank of Azerbaijan.
According to the bank, this figure is 0.5% more month-on-month, 1.1% more compared to the beginning of the year, and 23.6% more compared to October 1, 2023.
During the reporting period, Azerbaijani banks' net domestic assets amounted to 20.094 billion manats ($11.82 billion), which is 2.3% more month-on-month, 1.2% more compared to the beginning of the year, and 6.1% less year-on-year.
There are 22 banks operating in Azerbaijan.
