Azerbaijan to see growth in public debt/GDP ratio by 2023

The ratio of Azerbaijan’s public debt to GDP will be 17.6% this year, Report informs, citing Europe and Central Asia Economic Update by the World Bank.
The Bank says this figure will be 17.9% next year and 17.5% in 2023.
According to the Ministry of Finance, the external public debt in the first half of 2021 stood at USD 7,839,000,000 or 16.6% of GDP, 2.5% less than early 2021.
