Azerbaijan suspends lending to pensioners

Baku. 22 April. REPORT.AZ/ Due to the decision of the Financial Markets Control Chamber, the issuance of consumer loans to pensioners temporarily suspended.

Report informs referring to the chamber, resumption of lending terms are not known yet.

"Chairman has met with representatives of the banks. The meeting discussed topical issues, including the issue of lending to pensioners. Chamber has temporarily suspended lending to pensioners with social significance", said in the Chamber.

Notably, from April 5, the banks stopped issuing consumer loans in foreign currency for a period of 1 month. The Chamber retains the right to extend this period.
