Azerbaijan sees nearly 9% decline in export on non-oil sector

Azerbaijan exported non-oil products worth $721 million in January-May 2020, down 8.9% from the previous year, Report informs referring to the Export Review of the Center for Analysis of Economic Reforms and Communication.

In the reporting period, the export of non-oil products to Russia amounted to $271 million, to Turkey - $144.3 million, to Georgia - $70.5 million, to Switzerland - $71.5 million, and to China - $23.6 million.

Compared to a year earlier, export to Russia, Switzerland, and China respectively increased by 3.6%, 26%, and 40.3% in the first five months of 2020.

In May 2020, the export on the non-oil sector made up $172.6 million, down 17.8% from the previous year. Most of the goods were exported to Russia ($84.8 million), Switzerland ($23 million), Turkey ($22.2 million), Georgia ($11.7 million), and China ($5.4 million).
