Azerbaijan sees nearly 3% growth in retail trade turnover

Retail trade turnover in January-March 2019 grew by 2.7% to AZN 8.8 billion, Report informs referring to the State Statistical Committee.

According to the committee, the sale of food products, tobacco and drinks amounted to AZN 4,472.1 million, non-food products amounted to AZN 4,371.0 million, up 2.4% and 3.1% respectively from the previous year.

A consumer bought AZN 298.7-good on average, which is AZN 9.5 higher than the previous year.

A consumer bought food products, drinks and tobacco worth AZN 151.1 on average, non-food products worth AZN 147.6 in the reporting period.
