Azerbaijan sees about 13% surge in tax revenues from non-oil&gas sector

The amount of tax revenues to the state budget through the State Tax Service (STS) under the Economy Ministry of Azerbaijan exceeded 11.227 billion manats (just over $6.6 billion) in the first eight months of 2024, Report informs citing the STS.

From January through August 2024, tax revenues from the non-oil and gas sector amounted to more than 7.744 billion (over $4.555 billion), representing an increase of 12.8% or 878.6 million manats (just over $516.8 million) compared to the corresponding period in 2023.

About 69% of the paid taxes fell to the non-oil and gas sector, and 31% to the oil and gas sector.
