Azerbaijan sees 3% growth in retail trade

Retail trade turnover in January-September 2019 grew by 3.0% to AZN 27.6 billion, Report informs referring to the State Statistical Committee.

According to the committee, the sale of food products, tobacco and drinks amounted to AZN 13,947,100,000, non-food products amounted to AZN 13,630,300,000, up 2.6% and 3.3% respectively from the previous year.

Per capita average retail trade turnover was AZN 309.8-good on average, which is AZN 13.5 higher than the previous year.

One consumer bought food products, drinks and tobacco worth AZN 156.7 on average, non-food products worth AZN 153.7 in the reporting period.
