Azerbaijan's revenues from air cargo, passenger transportation revealed

Azerbaijan's revenues from air transportation of cargo and passengers in January-June 2024 amounted to 2.187 billion manats ($1.286 billion), Report informs referring to the State Statistics Committee.

Compared to the figure for January-June 2023, the volume of these revenues increased by 33%. At the same time, revenues from the transportation of cargo by air amounted to 1.287 billion manats ($757.058 million, an increase of 27.9%).

At the same time, the bulk of this revenue came from international cargo transportation - 1.287 billion manats ($757.058 million, an increase of 27.9%), 694,800 manats ($408,705) - from domestic transportation (an increase of 13.2%). Revenues from passenger transportation amounted to 899.711 million manats ($529.241 million, an increase of 41.1%).

At the same time, the main share of revenues came from international passenger transportation - 871.385 million manats ($512.579 million, an increase of 42.1%), domestic transportation - 28.326 million manats ($16.662 million, an increase of 16.4%).

In January-March 2024, the volume of cargo transportation by air amounted to 209,800 tons (an increase of 23.8%), passenger transportation - 1.814 million people (an increase of 47.1%).
