Azerbaijan's non-oil sector grows by 10%

In January-June 2022, Azerbaijan produced gross domestic product (GDP) worth 63.3 billion manats ($37.3 billion), or 6.2% more than the same period last year, Report informs, citing the State Statistical Committee of Azerbaijan.

The value added in the oil and gas sector of the economy increased by 0.2%, and in the non-oil and gas sector by 9.6%.

According to the committee, 53.3% of GDP production came from the industry, 7.7% from trade; repair of vehicles, 5.8% - transport and warehousing, 4.7% - agriculture, forestry and fishing, 3.8% - construction, 1.3% - information and communication, 1.3% - tourist accommodation and catering, 14.5% - other fields. Net taxes on products and imports accounted for 7.6% of GDP.

Over the past year, the GDP per capita in the country increased by 58.1% to 6,305 manats ($3,711).
