Azerbaijan's Milli Majlis adopts subsistence minimum and need criterion for next year

The bill "On the Subsistence Minimum for 2025" was discussed in the third reading during today's meeting of Azerbaijan's Milli Majlis (Parliament).
According to Report, the bill sets the subsistence minimum for 2025 at 285 manats ($167.65) nationwide, 305 manats ($179.41) for the able-bodied population, 232 manats ($136.47) for pensioners, and 246 manats ($144.71) for children.
In parallel, the need criterion for next year was also approved at 285 manats.
For comparison, the subsistence minimum for 2024 was set at 270 manats ($158.82), including 287 manats ($168.82) for the able-bodied population, 222 manats ($130.59) for pensioners, and 235 manats ($138.24) for children.
