The Ministry of Finance has commented on the increase of Azerbaijan's state budget revenues and expenditures for 2025 by 1.74 billion manats ($1.02 billion) compared to the initial draft, Report informs.
Based on President Ilham Aliyev's instructions, the budget's defense and security expenses have been increased by 1.74 billion, reaching roughly 8.4 billion ($4.94 billion), the ministry said
The main reason for this is the need to respond to Armenia's large-scale militarization policy.
"The financing of additional expenses will be provided by increasing the transfer from the State Oil Fund of Azerbaijan to the state budget by 1.7 billion manats," the ministry said.
