Azerbaijan’s CBA reveals reason for difference between base, annual inflation

The difference between base and annual inflation in Azerbaijan is mainly due to regulated prices in January 2025, Chairman of the Central Bank of Azerbaijan (CBA), Taleh Kazimov, said at a press conference dedicated to the decision of the CBA regarding the parameters of the interest rate corridor (IRC), Report informs.
In January 2025, based on applications received from the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR), the Azerbaijan State Water Resources Agency, Azerenerji and Azeristiliktechizat OJSCs, prices for a number of utility services were regulated at a meeting of the Tariffs (Prices) Council.
