Azerbaijan records 20% drop in troubled loans

As of April 1, 2024, overdue loans in Azerbaijan amounted to 470.8 million manats (about $276.78 million), up 0.35% percent from a month earlier, Report informs, citing the Central Bank of Azerbaijan.

Also, the amount of troubled loans in the country rose by 7.5% compared to the beginning of the year, while it decreased by 20.3% in contrast to a year earlier.

By the end of March 2024, the share of overdue loans in the total loan portfolio was 1.9%. This figure was the same as of the end of February 2024, 1.8% at the end of December 2023, and 2.9% at the end of March 2023.
