Azerbaijan increases fruits and vegetables export by 62%, decreases imports by 10%

Baku. 19 August. REPORT.AZ/ In January-July this year, Azerbaijan exported 287,843 tons of fruits and vegetables.

Report import citing the State Customs Committee, this figure is more by 62.4% than the same period last year.

During the reporting period, Azerbaijan's revenue from fruit and vegetable exports increased by 42.4% and amounted to $ 253.66 million. Notably, 4.1% of total exports accounted for these products.

Fruit and vegetable imports to Azerbaijan have dropped. Thus, during 7 months, 180, 013 tons of fruits and vegetables were imported to the country, which is less by 10% than the previous year. Costs for import of these products decreased by 0.1% and made 81,204 million USD. Notably, 1.9% of total imports accounted for fruits and vegetables.
