Azerbaijan enjoyed low inflation rate among post-Soviet states in 2018

Baku. 21 January. REPORT.AZ/ Azerbaijan ranked 11th among the post-Soviet countries on the growth of consumer prices in 2018, as shown by the BelaPAN survey of national statistical data.
The prices in Azerbaijan grew by 1.5%, the same as in Georgia.
Uzbekistan led the price surge ranking in 2018 with a 14.3 percentage inflation. It is followed by Ukraine (9.8%) and Belarus (5.6%), which ranked second and third respectively.
The fourth place is claimed by Tajikistan with a 5.4% inflation, followed by Kazakhstan (5.3%), Russia (4.3%), Estonia (3.4%), Latvia (2.6%), Lithuania (1.9%) and Armenia (1.8%). The inflation rate in Moldova and Kyrgyzstan amounted to 0.9% and 0.5% respectively.
