Average monthly salary in Azerbaijan soars 6%

Baku. 12 December. REPORT.AZ/ As of November 1, the number of recruited staff in Azerbaijan totaled 1 517,8 thsd people, 878,1 thsd of them employed in state sector, 639,7 thsd in private sector.

Report informs referring to State Statistics Committee (SSC) of the Republic of Azerbaijan.

Out of the total number, 21.8% employed in education, 19.2% trade and repair of vehicles, 12.9% industry, 8.6% health care and social services to population, 7.1% public administration and defense, social security, 6.6% construction, 4.7% transport and warehousing, 3.4% professional, scientific and technical activity, 3.2% - agriculture, forestry and fisheries, 1.6% financing and insurance activity, 10.9% other sectors of economy.

In January-October, average monthly salary of recruited employees in Azerbaijan increased by 6.4% in annual comparison and equaled 525.4 AZN. The highest average monthly nominal salary registered in extractive industries, finance and insurance, construction, information and communication, professional, scientific and technical activities.
