ADB, Azerbaijan mull directions of future cooperation 

Vusal Gasimli, Executive Director of the Center for Analysis of Economic Reforms and Communication (CAERC), has met with Candice McDeigan, new Country Director of the Asian Development Bank (ADB) for Azerbaijan, Report informs, referring to CAERC.

Economic reforms, Azerbaijan’s leading position in Doing Business and other international ratings, Azerbaijan’s national priorities on socio-economic development for 2030, CAERC’s activity, and communication measures were discussed at the meeting.

At the same time, ADB’s technical assistance and cooperation in the preparation of analysis and forecasting models about macroeconomic researches were highly appreciated.

ADB’s Country Director for Azerbaijan Candice McDeigan informed about activities of ADB towards the reconstruction of infrastructure in Azerbaijan and development of the financial sector. Researches in economic growth and diversification, practical training on macroeconomic analysis and forecasting models, and preparation of documents on economic reforms in strategic fields were offered as the directions of cooperation in the future.

Senior Economics Officer of the ADB Nail Valiyev, head of Economic Analysis ad Analytical Information Department at CAERC Rashad Huseynov, and head of Projects Department Vusale Jafarova also attended the meeting.
