SOCAR: Zero Waste program will be implemented at Baku Energy Forum for first time

The important topics to be raised at the Baku Energy Forum included net zero emissions and the Zero Waste program, Orkhan Huseynov, press secretary of the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR), said at a press conference on Baku Energy Week.

According to Report, he said the Zero Waste program, a set of principles aimed at preventing waste, will also be applied for the first time within the framework of the forum:

"During the event, the use of printed media will be minimized, electronic media will be preferred, and the principle of optimal use of food will be applied according to the international Zero Food Waste initiative," Huseynov said.

Huseynov said that sessions covering important topics will be held in Nakhchivan during the Baku Energy Week: "In the context of the 'Year of Heydar Aliyev', a special session dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the Great Leader will reflect the historical importance of the city. In addition, it is planned to turn Nakhchivan into a green energy zone at the state level."

The SOCAR official noted that organizing the session on "Renewable energy potential of Nakhchivan and Eastern Zangazur" is of great importance. In addition to panel meetings, a cultural program - the Nakhchivan city tour and concert program will also take place within the framework of the event to be held in Nakhchivan.
