SOCAR Energy Ukraine, a subsidiary of the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR) in Ukraine, has started another charity campaign - collecting funds to provide schoolchildren with medical aid kits, Report informs, citing SOCAR Energy Ukraine.
Anyone willing to help can join the "First aid kit for schoolchildren" initiative.
A part of the funds from the sales of special rooster-print drinking glasses at SOCAR gas stations will be used to provide life-saving medical supplies to schoolchildren. First aid kits also contain instructions for providing psychological assistance to students and school staff.
These guidelines were developed as part of the initiative of the First Lady of Ukraine, Olena Zelenska, to establish a National Mental Health and Psychosocial Support Program coordinated by the Ministry of Health with the support of the World Health Organization.
Director of SOCAR Energy Ukraine Igor Orlov said that supporting Ukrainians, adults, and children is always a priority for the SOCAR team: "We are grateful to our partners for agreeing to participate in such an important project. On the one hand, we would really like that no one needs these kits. But on the other hand, it is vital that thanks to these first aid kits, schoolchildren can save their lives or those around them in case of danger."
The first lady of Ukraine said it is incredible to see everyone in Ukraine doing their best, from ordinary people to big businesses: "Because only in this way will we be able to win together."
The partner of the charity project of SOCAR Energy Ukraine is the charity platform dobro.ua, and the executor is the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine.
The Minister of Education and Science of Ukraine, Serhiy Shkarlet, said that the safety of all participants in the educational process is the only condition for full-time education during martial law.
"As a result of the joint efforts of state bodies, local communities, and partners of the Ministry of Education and Science, it was possible to create traditional education opportunities in 64% of schools. However, work in this direction continues. Because it is crucial for us that the maximum number of students can get quality education, as well as communicate face to face with their peers and teachers. SOCAR's initiative to provide Ukrainian students with special medical kits is an important part of our wishes for the safety, life, and health protection of every child and teacher, and psychological stability during education. Thank you, responsible business, for your good work."
Irina Gutsal, the director of the Dobro.ua charity platform, said that now Ukrainian children are in great need of care and attention: "For this reason, we are glad that the cooperation between dobro.ua and SOCAR is dedicated to them. Children are our future. They need to have uninterrupted access not only to knowledge but also to quality medical care in times of danger. Drinking coffee in a charity cup at SOCAR is not only charity, but also a contribution to the future life and prosperity of Ukraine!"
