SOCAR's oil refinery ranks second among top 500 largest companies in Türkiye

The STAR Refinery (NEZ), a direct investor of the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR) in Türkiye, ranked second in the list of the 500 largest production enterprises with the highest revenue in terms of sales in this country, Report informs, citing the Istanbul Chamber of Industry.

STAR oil refinery earned 189.2 billion liras ($6.92 billion) in 2022 from the sales. In 2021, the oil refinery was the third on this list.

Overall, 500 industrial enterprises of Türkiye increased their sales from production by 119% to 4.49 trillion liras ($160 billion) in 2022. The giant of the industry was once again TUPRAS with sales of 418.4 billion liras ($15.32 billion).

Ford Automotive completed the top three. The company, which ranked second in terms of sales revenue in 2021, earned 140.1 billion liras ($5.12 billion) in 2022.
