SOCAR, Japanese company mull cooperation in energy transition, decarbonization

The State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR) has discussed cooperation opportunities with a Japanese company in energy transition and decarbonization.

Report informs, citing SOCAR, that the discussions took place during a meeting between SOCAR President Rovshan Najaf and Seita Hagihara, President of Yokogawa Europe B.V. and Vice President of Yokogawa Electric Corporation.

During the meeting, satisfaction was expressed with the existing cooperation between the companies, and prospects for expanding relations were reviewed.

The parties discussed opportunities for collaboration in the digitalization of production, processing, and other fields, as well as energy transition and decarbonization. They also exchanged views on other issues of mutual interest.
