Azerbaijan’s state oil company SOCAR plans to increase the oil recovery factor in the Azeri-Chirag-Gunashli (ACG) block of fields, SOCAR Vice-President Babak Huseynov said, Report informs.
“The ACG block has been in development for 30 years. At the same time, there are highly efficient wells here. The oil recovery factor is about 30-40%, this is a completely acceptable level. However, we want to increase this figure even more, bring it to 50%,” Huseynov said at the Baku Energy Forum.
He noted that this will be possible thanks to the use of new infrastructure at the field.
