Share of green power in total energy system in Azerbaijan to exceed target indicator by 2030

In the total electricity production of Azerbaijan, the power produced from renewable energy sources is 1,688 MW, which is approximately 20% of the total power, Deputy Minister of Energy Samir Valiyev said today at the SPECA 2023 Economic Forum themed “Turning SPECA into a global hub” held in Baku, Report informs.
He said that it is planned to increase this indicator to 30% by 2030:
“By the end of 2027, as a result of the integration of 1,870 MW of green power into the country's energy system, the share of renewable energy is expected to reach 33% of our target, i.e. from 30%. In order to achieve these goals, reforms are being carried out in the country's energy sector.”
