"The State Oil Company (SOCAR) is a long-term partner of the World Economic Forum and is interested in continuing cooperation and participating in future events of the forum," Report informs, citing that Rovshan Najaf, SOCAR’s first vice president, who is also the acting president, said at a meeting with a delegation, headed by World Economic Forum President Borge Brende.
Rovshan Najaf stressed that the opening of the digital center of the Fourth Industrial Revolution in Azerbaijan opens up new prospects for expanding cooperation between the World Economic Forum and SOCAR.
World Economic Forum President Borge Brende expressed satisfaction with the opening of the Fourth Industrial Revolution digital center in Baku, noting that the creation of the center was agreed with President Ilham Aliyev two years ago.
He also recalled that energy supply is one of the main issues on the agenda of the world countries, and stressed that they are interested in expanding cooperation in the development of renewable energy sources and other energy projects.
The meeting also included an exchange of views on the prospects for the development of existing ties and cooperation between SOCAR and the World Economic Forum and discussed the possibility of exchanging experience and partnership with the Digital Center of the Fourth Industrial Revolution, which began its activities in Baku.
