Oil production from Balakhani field to decrease by nearly 4% in 2025

Some 1.76 million barrels of oil are projected to be produced from the Balakhani field in 2025, according to the Chamber of Accounts' opinion on the State Oil Fund of Azerbaijan's (SOFAZ) budget for 2025, Report informs.
This is 0.07 million barrels and 3.8% less compared to the 2024 forecast, and 0.09 million barrels and 4.9% less compared to the actual figure for 2023.
In 2024, oil production from the field was projected to be 1.83 million barrels.
The Balakhani-Sabunchu-Ramana oil and gas field is located 12 km northeast of Baku city. The field covers an area with a length of 10 km and a width of 3 km.
