Oil production at major fields in Kazakhstan down 56%

Oil production at large fields in Kazakhstan decreased by 56% due to restrictions on oil acceptance at the Caspian Pipeline Consortium, Shyngys Ilyasov, advisor to the Kazakh energy minister, told journalists, Report informs with reference to the Russian media.

“At the moment, at the country’s large fields, the decline in production is 56%. The Ministry of Energy of the Republic of Kazakhstan has no data on how long the situation may return to normal. In the near future, the reduction and adjustment of production will remain at current levels,” he noted.
