Novak: Expansion of Baku-Tikhoretsk oil pipeline for reverse supply of Russian oil not on agenda

Azerbaijan is not discussing with Russia the expansion of the Baku-Tikhoretsk oil pipeline for a possible reverse supply of Russian oil to Azerbaijan, Deputy Prime Minister of Russia Alexander Novak told reporters, Report informs via Interfax.
"This project has not been discussed anywhere for a long time," Novak added.
Meanwhile, the Russian side proposed the project of expanding the Baku-Tikhoretsk oil pipeline for reverse supply of Russian oil to Azerbaijan last year.
In October 2023, Novak announced that after the expansion of the mentioned oil pipeline, the volume of oil supply can reach 4 million tons, and it can be processed in Azerbaijan.
