Kazakhstan eyes developing oil export routes to China, Iran

Kazakhstan intends to develop oil export routes in the direction of China and Iran, Energy Minister Bolat Akchulakov said, Report informs referring to Interfax.
“The emphasis will be placed on the development of the Trans-Caspian International Transport Route in the direction of the ports of Azerbaijan, Georgia and Turkiye, as well as on export routes to China and Iran,” Akchulakov said at a government meeting on December 14.
He clarified that as part of the diversification of export directions, a draft roadmap has been worked out for the development of alternative routes for oil supply.
