The European Union is developing a plan to phase out Russian natural gas, EU Commissioner for Energy Kadri Simson said at the Delphi Economic Forum.
Report quotes her as saying the work on this plan has already begun.
Among the countries with which gas supplies have already been established, Simson noted large energy producers such as Qatar, the USA, and Egypt.
She also said they have an energy dialogue with Norway and Algeria, adding that there is a new pipeline connection with Azerbaijan, which helps the EU replace a third of Russian gas.
