IFC: Azerbaijan intensively working towards development of renewable energy

Azerbaijan is intensively working towards developing renewable energy sources (RES), Regional Manager of the International Finance Corporation (IFC) for the South Caucasus, Ivana Fernandez Duarte, said at the Baku Energy Forum.
Report quotes her as saying the country is using all its resources in this direction, and the IFC welcomes Azerbaijan's initiatives.
Duarte highlighted Azerbaijan's potential in wind energy.
According to her, IFC's goal is to help Azerbaijan attract the necessary investments and provide funding.
The regional manager noted that the pandemic had increased the desire to find solutions that would be beneficial and reasonable from an environmental point of view.
