Head of "SOCAR Ukraine": "Rumors are not true"

The statements on the head of SOCAR Energy Ukraine Elchin Mammadov's flight to France via his private jet are not true, Report informs, citing a comment by SOCAR Energy Ukraine.

"We officially respond to the information published in media that the Director-General of SOCAR Energy Ukraine Elchin Mammadov has not left Ukraine since early March 2020. As the head of one of the largest fuel companies in the country, he is at the moment closely involved in resolving operational issues regarding stable operation of the enterprise in the conditions of strict quarantine over the coronavirus pandemic. We consider the dissemination of such false information as an attempt to damage the business reputation of SOCAR Energy Ukraine's management. "We urge journalists to maintain objectivity and verify the accuracy of the information before publishing it, as well as to refute it," - the statement said.
