Green energy share in Azerbaijan's Nakhchivan in September reaches 35%

In September 2024, alternative and renewable energy sources accounted for 35% of the total volume of electricity generated in Azerbaijan's Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic, Report informs referring to the State Energy Service of the Nakhchivan AR.
The share of electricity generated by hydroelectric power plants decreased in September due to the low water level in the rivers.
Last month, 65% of electricity was generated by thermal power plants, 20% by hydroelectric power plants, 15% by solar power plants.
