Georgia increases purchase of oil and petroleum oil from Azerbaijan

In January-September of this year, Georgia imported 60,908 tons of oil and petroleum oil (+3.8%) worth $51.41 million (+1.6% ) from Azerbaijan, Report informs, citing the National Statistical Office of Georgia.
Thus, Azerbaijan ranks third among the countries that export oil and petroleum oil to Georgia.
During the reporting period, Georgia bought 1.02 million tons of oil and petroleum oil (+2.4%) worth $816.4 million from foreign countries (-20%).
In the 9th month of 2023, 674,270 tons worth $477.6 million were brought to Georgia from Russia, 135,810 tons worth $118.9 million from Romania, 56,742 tons worth $47.4 million from Turkmenistan, and 23,409 tons worth $23.2 million from Bulgaria.
