Georgia increases electricity exports by 14-fold

Georgia exported 20.3 million kWh of electricity to neighboring countries in January-March 2024, Report informs, citing the National Statistics Office (GeoStat).
The total value of electricity exported from the country in January-March of this year was $1.3 million.
The electricity exports in the first quarter increased by 14-fold.
Most of the exported electricity went to Azerbaijan ($913,000), and the rest went to Armenia ($350,000).
During the reporting period, Georgia imported 438.4 million kWh of electricity worth $1.9 million.
