GECF Secretary General: COP29 will be great success

COP29 will be a great success, Mohamed Hamel, Secretary General of the Gas Exporting Countries Forum (GECF), said during the plenary discussions themed “International cooperation on energy security and sustainability” on the first day of the Baku Energy Forum held today, Report informs.

He noted that COP29 is an important platform for discussing urgent issues and making significant decisions: “In my meeting with the Minister of Ecology and Natural Resources of Azerbaijan, Mukhtar Babayev, the President-Designate of COP29, we had a conversation about this. I believe that the steps to be taken at this prestigious event will make important contributions to the energy transition.”
