Gazprom gives Moldova delay in paying for gas

Gazprom has agreed to give Moldovagaz a delay in making an advance payment for gas supplies in August, Report informs referring to the company.
Moldovagaz failed to fulfill its contractual obligations to Gazprom on the advance payment for gas in August and turned to the Russian supplier with a request to postpone the payment date until September 1, 2022, Gazprom notes.
According to the terms of the agreement, the Moldovan side must make an advance payment by the 20th day of each month.
Gazprom has decided to exceptionally agree to this request.
