Gazprom is planning to transport the first gas via Turkish Stream in the last ten days of December, said Chairman of the Board Oleg Aksyutin, Report informs citing Russian media.

"We are expecting to start gas transportation via Gazprom by December 31, 2019. The pipeline is ready on the offshore part. Onshore part in Russia has fully been completed. In Turkey, the project is 73.5% complete."

It runs from Russkaya compressor station near Anapa in Krasnodar Region across the Black Sea to Kıyıköy on the Turkish Thrace coast. It is replacing the cancelled South Stream project.
