Fatih Donmez: TANAP gas exports to Europe to double in next 3-4 years

In the next 3-4 years, gas exports to Europe via the Trans-Anatolian Gas Pipeline (TANAP) will double and reach 20 billion cubic meters, Turkish Minister of Energy and Natural Resources Fatih Donmez told journalists as part of his visit to Azerbaijan.

According to Report, the minister noted that the increase in gas exports via TANAP will contribute to ensuring the energy security of both Turkiye and Europe:

"Our cooperation with Azerbaijan in the field of energy is not limited to the TANAP project. For the upcoming period, Azerbaijan plans serious investments to assess the potential of wind energy on its territory, especially on the coast of the Caspian Sea. The transit of renewable energy sources that will be produced here, through Turkiye to Europe, is also one of the topics we are discussing."
